The Directorate of Agriculture in As-Suwayda is implementing a plan to produce 231,000 fruitful trees to be provided to farmers for the next season at encouraging prices in support of the agricultural process.
The head of the plant production department in the directorate, Eng. Akram Saray El-Din, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the necessary services for these plants are currently being provided, including irrigation, fertilizer and weeding, within the Arra spring center, and they are constantly following up on their production according to the required technical specifications.
He pointed out that the plants being processed include olives, pistachios, apples, pears, apricots, peaches, almonds, cherries, pomegranates, berries, figs and vines.
The Directorate of Agriculture in As-Suwayda provided last season about 177,000 fruitful tree plants produced by agricultural centers and those rented from outside the governorate in order to serve the expansion of the cultivated areas and increase agricultural production.
