A 79-year-old Fischbachauer drove into both guard rails on the B307 near Bayrischzell.
The police are investigating under the influence of alcohol.
Bayrischzell - A 79-year-old Fischbachauer lost control of his car on the B307 near Bayrischzell on Sunday and hit both guard rails.
According to the police, the man was driving his Hyundai from Aurach in the direction of Bayrischzell at around 4.45 p.m. when he was inattentive and left the road to the right and hit the guardrail.
When he countered, he lost control of his car and hit the left guardrail.
The man was unharmed.
Other road users were not endangered.
Total loss of around 8,000 euros was made on the car.
When recording the accident, the police noticed that the driver smelled alcohol.
A breath test showed over 0.3 per mil.
The man is now awaiting a preliminary investigation into danger to road traffic due to the influence of alcohol.
