Mayor Robert Kühn issued an emergency ordinance last summer to ban alcohol on the Wiesse lake promenade.

Now the community has set up a few rules of the game for their green spaces.

Bad Wiessee

- bathers who set up camp and grill on the lake promenade, young people who consume beer and cigarettes in the area of the playground, dogs running freely: Because there were repeated complaints about the behavior of some contemporaries in the Bad Wiessee facilities the community needs action.

Maximilian Macco, head of the public order office, presented the draft of a “statute on the use of public green spaces” at the latest municipal council meeting.

Of course, the paper also includes bans, explained Macco.

"The main aim, however, is to make the stay in the facilities as pleasant as possible for everyone".

In fact, many of the rules in the new regulation read like a matter of course.

For example, it is forbidden to take the benches set up by the community to any place or to turn up the radio so loud that other visitors or residents are disturbed.

There is no general alcohol ban on the lake promenade

Regarding the irritant subject of alcohol, there is no general ban.

The consumption of alcoholic beverages and tobacco is only prohibited on playgrounds - in addition, according to the new statutes, it is not permitted to “be in a state of intoxication or a similar state”.

According to Macco, there have also been complaints in the past that dog owners do not have their four-legged friends under control.

The statutes now include, among other things, that dogs may only be carried in the green areas in such a way that “other users are not endangered, harmed or harassed”.

Violations can result in fines of up to 2500 euros

Anyone who does not follow the rules commits an administrative offense and can be fined up to 2500 euros.

A dismissal can also be issued to those who do not understand.

This in turn raised the question of the controls in the panel.

For example, with Georg Erlacher (CSU), who, as the chairman of the traditional costume association, had already observed that young people celebrating had meanwhile moved to the Abwinkl spa gardens.

Mayor Kühn reported that from now on a private security service patrols Bad Wiessee again on weekends, which can also be used flexibly.

"That turned out to be expedient in the past year," said Kühn.

Long-term bathers on the lake promenade are not welcome

A topic that burned under the nails of many local councils was the use of the lake promenade as a bathing facility.

"Many use the promenade as a lawn with all the trimmings," complained Kurt Sareiter (CSU).

Klaudia Martini (SPD) also called for a specific regulation.

There is nothing wrong with swimming in the lake and a short stay, but many visitors occupy seats and benches there all day.

We don't want to go through like the sheriffs.

Mayor Robert Kühn (SPD)

Mayor Kühn spoke out emphatically against a general ban on long-term bathers and appealed to the solidarity of the people of Wiesse.

Not everyone has the money to go to an outdoor swimming pool.

“We don't want to go through it like the sheriffs and tell people: 'You can't lie there!'” Rather, Kühn spoke out in favor of testing the statutes and improving them if necessary.

CSU spokesman Florian Sareiter made a similar statement.

The new statutes - they were finally passed unanimously and should come into force immediately - are good tools.

"The cornerstones are in place, you can always readjust later," says Sareiter.
