Votes from the community of Langenbach flow into the ZDF projections on the evening of the federal election.
It is not only in this respect that the choice casts its shadow.
Langenbach
- The general election at the end of September is casting its shadow.
Langenbach plays a special role this time.
The research group Wahlen carries out a survey in the polling station at the elementary school, the result of which is then incorporated into the ZDF forecast and the projection of the television station on the evening of the election.
This was announced by Managing Director Bernhard Götz at the latest municipal council meeting.
Selected as the only municipality in the district
Langenbach has been selected "as the only municipality in the district", as Götz found.
The polling of voters takes place anonymously and in writing using a questionnaire.
The interviewees are chosen at random and addressed by the television people.
On the occasion, Götz also pointed out that this time, due to Corona, a rush of postal voters is expected.
The rate of postal voters could therefore increase to up to 50 percent.
In order to be prepared for this, the administration has now announced a redesign of the polling stations.
Accordingly, there should be one fewer ballot box and one more postal polling station compared to the previous federal election.
This means that ballot boxes and postal voting stations, each with three locations, are in balance.
The polling stations are said primary school, the Mooshäusl community kindergarten and the community center in Niederhummel.
The primary school in Langenbach as well as the training room of the volunteer fire brigade in Langenbach and the community hall in Niederhummel are also planned as postal voting stations.
Refreshment money increased to 50 euros
When it comes to the so-called “refreshment money” for the nearly fifty election workers, Langenbach does not want to mess with anything.
Instead of the proposed 35 euros for the chairman and 25 euros for the other members, as proposed by the administration in Langenbach, a flat rate of 50 euros is charged.
On top of that.
According to Mayor Susanne Hoyer, they want to ensure that election workers are fully vaccinated against Corona by election evening.
"Two nice incentives" to take part, as Hoyer found.
On the one hand, the increased refreshment allowance and, on the other hand, a prioritized vaccination.
