Dachau - The digital proof for corona vaccinations started yesterday.
The first pharmacies issued QR codes for vaccinated people, including the Lessing pharmacy, the Flora pharmacy and the Stern pharmacy in Dachau.
Maximilian Lernbecher, who runs the Flora pharmacy and the Lessing pharmacy in Münchner Strasse in addition to the Upper Pharmacy in the old town, had already issued the digital vaccination certificate for the 13th customer by 11 a.m. yesterday. “We have set up our own workstation and bought a new laptop,” says the 47-year-old pharmacist, who runs four other pharmacies in the district. He himself recorded his vaccination certificate in the "Cov-Pass-App".
You can upload the QR code generated in the pharmacy, at the doctor or in the vaccination center, but also in the Corona warning app of the Robert Koch Institute. "We generate the QR code for our customers on the PC, which they are then given and read on their smartphone," the pharmacist explains the process. In addition to the yellow vaccination card, the customer must also present their identity card. Lernbecher also offers regular customers the opportunity to leave their vaccination card and pick it up a few hours later. So nobody has to wait when the site is overloaded again.
This is what Amina Zollbrecht, pharmaceutical and commercial assistant at the Stern-Apotheke Dachau, experienced yesterday.
“The site collapsed completely,” she says.
As a result, she and her colleagues could not generate any codes, even though the rush was huge.
“The phone rang at 7:30 am, and there were a lot of customers in the pharmacy itself who wanted to get the QR code,” reports Zollbrecht.
In the course of the morning the site finally worked.
“The run will be over in two to three weeks,” assumes Maximilian Lernbecher.
Everyone can have their digital vaccination card saved on their smartphone by the start of the holiday in six weeks - the fifth generation pharmacist sees no problem with that.
