There are around 150 emergency services from the fire brigade, rescue services and police on site on Saturday.

The fire brigades Übersee, Grassau, Unterwössen, Grabenstätt and Traunstein on Rödlgries fight against the flames for an hour and a half.

The water supply came from the Chiemsee

"When we arrived on site, there were several loud popping noises from gas bottles flowing out," says train leader Anton Plenk later.

He decides that the cylinder gas store should first be protected from the burning caravans by a wall of water and then cleared.

The bottle store is five meters from the fire.

At this point there are around 50 gray steel bottles in the warehouse.

The operator family exchanges the 5 and 11 kilogram bottles for the campsite guests.

The Traunstein Criminal Police investigates the cause of the fire.

Initial investigations at the scene of the fire did not reveal any indications of an intentional arson.

In all probability, a technical defect can be assumed.

The campsite was only reopened at Pentecost.
