The spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom stated on June 14 that the remarks on Xinjiang, Hong Kong, and Taiwan in the G7 summit communiqué distorted facts and reversed right and wrong.
China urges the United States and other members of the G7 to respect the facts, recognize the situation, stop slandering China, and stop interfering in China's internal affairs.

The spokesman said that the G7 deliberately slandered China and interfered in China's internal affairs in the communiqué.
This seriously violated the basic norms of international relations and further exposed the sinister intentions of a few countries, including the United States.
China is strongly dissatisfied with this matter and expresses firm opposition.

The spokesperson pointed out that Xinjiang affairs are China's internal affairs, and Xinjiang-related issues are not human rights, ethnic or religious issues at all, but are anti-violent, anti-separatist, and extremist issues.
He said that China's governance of Hong Kong is based on the Chinese Constitution and Hong Kong Basic Law, not the "Sino-British Joint Declaration". No country has the right to use the "Sino-British Joint Declaration" to interfere in Hong Kong affairs.
China stated that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory. The Taiwan issue concerns China's core interests and does not allow any external forces to intervene.
