The Cooperative Agricultural Bank and its branches in Sweida hired 150 tons of urea fertilizer and 70 tons of super phosphate to secure the farmers' needs.
The director of the bank, Engineer Naseem Hudaifa, stated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the rented quantities are sold in cash according to the actual need schedule for each crop issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, at a price of one million and 366 thousand pounds per ton for urea and one million and 112 thousand pounds for super phosphate.
He also pointed out that the cash sale of fertilizers for irrigated olives has been extended until the end of this month, and that the bank will continue to import additional quantities of fertilizer during the coming period.
During the current season, the Cooperative Agricultural Bank in Sweida provided 1,490 tons of fertilizers for wheat cultivation.
