Food delivery platforms have become popular in recent years, and the threshold for joining as a delivery worker is not high, attracting many people to join as casual workers.

Lu Chung-hsiung, a member of the Labour Legislative Council of the Federation of Trade Unions, recently tried to work as a one-day takeaway, working for three hours to experience the work of a takeaway.

After the work, Lu Songxiong pointed out that he nearly fell several times and made more than one hundred yuan after completing three orders. He believed that the work was not easy, and he wanted to pay tribute to other food delivery workers.

In the end, he pointed out that the Federation of Trade Unions is studying to increase the labor protection of related casual workers and urged the government to conduct relevant research.

Earlier, Lu Songxiong experienced personally serving as a food delivery platform "Infantry", and took over three hours of delivery work in Tuen Mun, which he is familiar with.

His first transaction to send sushi earned only 34.12 yuan, frankly "lower than the minimum wage", and then the delivery platform software pointed out that he had not received a few orders, so he suspended his order for 15 minutes.

Lu Songxiong revealed to the camera that he himself had never patronized the food delivery platform because he thought it would not be cost-effective to add money to food, and he had received complaints from practitioners that he was not compensated for injuries during work, which made him unconsciously resist.

Encourage the government to study and protect the rights and interests of casual workers

During the delivery period, Lu Songxiong "wrong foot" in the street in front of the camera, almost "servant".

At the end of the clip, he said that he had already tried several times and almost fell down. He believed that the risk of delivering food was higher if he was riding a bicycle or driving a motorcycle, and that the delivery staff did not have work injury protection, labor law protection, annual leave and other benefits. The association will have a series of related studies, and believes that the most important thing is that the government has also "fallen into the water".

At the end of last month, Lu Songxiong personally served as a delivery worker, lamenting how painful the process was.
