Last Sunday, the demonstrators protested at the top of their lungs against the pardons that Pedro Sanchez is preparing to grant to Catalan separatist prisoners.
More generally, they have criticized with all their might the president of the left-wing government they loathe.
But, paradoxically, they may have helped free the hands of the chief executive.
