Sunday, barely two years after taking office, he was appointed Chief of Staff of the Armies, replacing General Lecointre, by the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron.
The current CEMA will leave office, at its request, after July 14.
“The choice had been made for several months,” one
explains within the Ministry of the Armed Forces, since about the spring.
The handover between the two men will be smooth.
