The Labour Department stated that any relevant person who fails to comply with the mandatory testing announcement is a crime and is liable to a fixed fine of $5,000 and will receive a mandatory testing order requiring the person to be tested within the specified period.
Failure to comply with the mandatory testing order constitutes a crime and is punishable by a fourth-level fine (25,000 yuan) and six months in prison.
All foreign domestic helpers in Hong Kong received mandatory testing twice earlier.
