The Chairman and members of the Syrian-Korean Friendship Committee in the People's Assembly discussed today with the Ambassador of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Damascus Mong Jong Nam ways to develop parliamentary relations between the two friendly countries.
During the meeting, Ambassador Jong Nam stressed the distinction and strength of the historical relations between the two countries and his country's absolute and unwavering support for the Syrian people in the face of terrorism in order to protect Syria's sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, indicating that the great success represented in achieving the constitutional merit and the victory of Dr. .
For his part, Chairman of the Committee Khaled Shabib pointed out that the relations between Syria and the DPRK extend for many years, appreciating the positions of the DPRK in supporting Syria and standing by it, and calling for intensifying parliamentary visits between the two countries to enhance friendship, cooperation and exchange of experiences in all fields.
A number of committee members also stressed the importance of strengthening parliamentary coordination between Syria and the Democratic Republic of Korea in all international forums with parliaments of friendly countries in all fields.
