The most recent opponent to be jailed in Nicaragua is former Vice Chancellor Víctor Hugo Tinoco, who was detained, according to his relatives, in a shopping center this Sunday in Managua.
The government of Daniel Ortega has arrested 13 opponents under "Law 1055".
Four of them are potential presidential candidates.
