A homicide occurred in Tuen Mun Town Plaza. A 66-year-old man surnamed Liang fell from a high-level unit of four blocks to his death. Police officers came to investigate and revealed that his 60-year-old wife, Fu, was lying on the bed in the apartment.

His wife died after being sent to hospital for emergency treatment.

The police said that the two deceased were married and the deceased woman was found lying on the bed, with 10 cm, 2.5 cm and 5 cm stab wounds on the neck, face and lower lip respectively.

The police officer found a kitchen knife next to the deceased woman and believed that she was attacked in her sleep.

The male deceased committed suicide by falling off the building for fear of crime.

The police classified the case as suicide and murder and handed it over to the Tuen Mun District Crime Squad to take over the investigation.

Tuen Mun Police District Assistant Commander (Criminal) Superintendent Lam Hing Cheung told the case that the dead man and woman were married. Since 2016, they rented the Tuen Mun Plaza unit involved in the incident. They had to live with no children. They had been married for 40 years. The relationship has always been affectionate. There is no record of domestic violence, and there has been no special conflict recently. No suicide note was seized at the scene.

Police investigations believed that the male deceased first attacked the female deceased, and then committed suicide by falling off the building in fear of crime.

The police received a report at 3:40 am today (14) that they heard a loud noise while parking in the parking lot of Tuen Mun Town Plaza and found a man lying on the platform, so they called the police.

Police arrived at the scene and found the man lying on the fourth underground platform, leaving behind a large amount of blood.

The 66-year-old man, surnamed Liang, was certified dead at the scene at 3:57 in the morning. According to environmental evidence at the scene, it is believed that he fell from a height and died.

The police officers went to the fourth high-rise apartment unit of the deceased to investigate and found that the iron gate was closed but not locked, and the door was vacant. The male victim's 60-year-old wife, surnamed Fu, was lying on her back on the bed in the bedroom.

The ambulance rushed the woman to Tuen Mun Hospital for emergency treatment. She was certified dead at 5:45 am. The cause of death is yet to be confirmed by an autopsy.

Lin Qingzhang added that the deceased woman was lying on her back on the double bed, with a 10 cm wound on the neck and throat, a 2.5 cm wound on the face of the eyebrow, and a 5 cm cut on the lower lip of the mouth. It is believed that the murder weapon was a 30 cm long kitchen knife.

The deceased woman was lying on the pillow and the kitchen knife was placed next to her head. It is believed that the deceased woman was attacked in her sleep and suddenly lost the ability to resist.

He pointed out that the male deceased was unemployed, while the female deceased worked as a civil servant.

The police classified the case as suicide and murder, and will investigate in the direction of the deceased's relationship, physical and mental health, and financial status. No special features have been seen for the time being. No quarrel or noise was heard before the incident.

He said that the unit was 400 square feet, neatly arranged, and there were no suspicious traces such as ransacking.

The window grilles in the living room of the unit were removed, and the direction coincided with the position where the male deceased fell from the building.

When asked whether the iron gates of the units involved were closed or locked, and whether the gates were concealed in suspicious circumstances, Lin said that he initially believed that the head of the household deliberately did so and would investigate the activities of the deceased.

The police are investigating a murder and suicide case in Qingshan today (June 14) in which a 66-year-old man surnamed Liang and his 60-year-old wife Fu died.

At about 3:40 am, the police received a report from a passer-by who alleged that a man fell on the platform at No. 1 Tun Shun Street and suspected that he had fallen from a height.

Police officers rushed to the scene and found that the 66-year-old man was injured in multiple places. He was certified dead at the scene.

The officer later found that his 60-year-old wife was lying down in a unit at No. 1 Tuen Shun Street. She was injured in her neck and was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital in a coma. She was certified dead at 5.25 am.

Initial investigation revealed that the 66-year-old man fell from the unit after assaulting his wife inside the unit.

The police seized a knife in the unit, suspected to be related to the case.

The police will arrange an autopsy later to determine the cause of death of the two.

The Tuen Mun District Crime Squad is investigating the case.
