"There is a windfall effect": why shops dedicated to CBD are multiplying across France

Galvanized by a European court decision and by the pandemic, the consumption of CBD is gaining a foothold in the daily life of some French people. But legal uncertainty still hangs over the players in the sector.

His shop, which opened with associates last December, specializes in the sale of products made from this specific strain of cannabis, which is virtually THC-free - that is, non-narcotic, and legal.

Republik Garden is one of the many stores dedicated to this product that have been launched in recent months.

According to the Trade Union of Hemp (SPC), there are already more than 500 shops of this type in France, or about four times more than in 2018.
