The outdoor pool will have to do without its landmark, the large slide, at least this season (we reported), but there is a new attraction elsewhere - namely the “Grill-Meister-Platz”.
Peißenberg
- The name created by Werner Jungwirth, the chairman of the “Rigi-Rutsch'n” support association, refers to the newly built garden pavilion, which the pool park team built mostly on their own.
Under the wooden structure, which is placed in the transition area between the adjoining area and the main sunbathing area, two electricity-operated stainless steel gastro grills have been installed.
Connections are also provided for two more stations.
However, the devices have not yet been set up due to compliance with the hygiene distance rules.
The purpose of the “Grill-Meister-Platz” with a floor area of 36 square meters is to create an additional offer especially for families.
The target group should be encouraged to stay longer in the bathroom.
"Many people don't have a garden to grill at home - and it should also be a sociable place," said Angie Eichberger at the official inauguration. It was already sociable: Swimming and grill master Hannes Meyer served crunchy cheese - including for Angie Eichberger and her husband Robert. The two had donated 1000 euros for the construction of the pavilion: "I said to my wife, you won't get anything for Christmas, but we'll go to a barbecue in the summer," joked the husband.
The heating and house technician is completely enthusiastic about the design of the pavilion: "This is not a zero-eight-fifteen barbecue area, but a great thing and a great enrichment for the 'Rigi-Rutsch'n'." The bathers can grill food Bring it yourself or buy it at Thomas Spirkl's kiosk. Cutlery can also be borrowed there if required. And if Jogi-Löw's kickers are successful at the current European Football Championship, "grill master" Hannes Meyer will be active again: "The first party has already been booked for the semifinals - provided Germany plays along."
