A young driver got into the opposite lane on Monday afternoon on the B13 and collided with two vehicles.
Three people were seriously injured in the accident.
Reichersbeuern - On Tuesday morning, the police announced details of the serious accident that occurred on Monday on the B13 near Bad Tölz.
Accordingly, a Tölzer (23), a Greilinger (52) and a Holzkirchnerin (48) were seriously injured.
The question of how exactly the momentous collision could have come about is still unclear.
After the correct overtaking maneuver, Tölzer (23) comes into the opposite lane
According to the police report, the 23-year-old from Tölz was driving his Renault van on the B13 from Sachsenkam towards Bad Tölz at around 2:50 p.m.
On this route, he passed another car in the Reichersbeuern municipality, roughly at the level of Allgau.
After the overtaking maneuver, he correctly returned to the right-hand lane.
For unknown reasons, however, he immediately found himself on the opposite lane again.
There he collided with two oncoming vehicles: the Dacia of a 52-year-old Greilinger and the Fiat station wagon of a 48-year-old from Holzkirchen.
Serious accident on B13 near Bad Tölz: three people seriously injured
All three people involved suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision.
The Greilinger was flown by rescue helicopter to the accident clinic in Murnau.
Ambulances brought the other two injured people to the surrounding clinics: the woman from Holzkirchen to Agatharied and the 23-year-old to the Asklepios city clinic in Bad Tölz.
None of the three vehicles was ready to drive after the accident; they were all towed away.
The property damage adds up to around 35,000 euros.
The federal road was completely closed for the time the accident was recorded.
The Reichersbeuern and Bad Tölz fire brigades were on site with a total of 30 people.
An accident analysis report was ordered.
