The necessary application for exemption was signed last week: At the end of this month, Jan Lang, managing director of the BRK in the Starnberg district, is expecting the containers for the planned new Herrsching ambulance right behind the vaccination branch in the commercial area of the Ammerseegemeinde.

Herrsching - As reported, the BRK is not only targeting the area next to the Hegemann makeshift car park for a while. For the time being, the space is rented until the end of April 2023. Negotiations for a leasehold contract are currently underway. The containers, in which the vaccination station and test center are housed, are to remain standing until the end of September. In total, the BRK has five stations in the district - apart from in Herrsching also in Wörthsee, Feldafing, Starnberg and Gauting. "I don't think we will need this capacity after September," says Lang in an interview with Starnberger Merkur. Theoretically, 6500 people could be vaccinated per week, “we are only getting 200 doses at the moment”. However, he cannot yet say which branch office will be closed.

The new guard, which has been relocated from Seefeld to Herrsching and will be housed in the BRK home on Keramikstraße until the move, is to remain in the industrial area for the long term - initially also in temporary construction elements. Since this property has been ready for construction since the 1980s, no development plan is required. And since the stipulations are adhered to, the new temporary arrangement can be approved in an unbureaucratic so-called exemption application. Only proof of parking space was still missing and had to be submitted later, according to Lang. Mayor Christian Schiller announced at the latest building committee meeting that this application has now been submitted. He was also signed.

As reported, the BRK Starnberg put two new rescue stations into operation at Easter - in Gilching and Herrsching. The guard in Gilching made it possible for the ambulance to be moved permanently from Seefeld to Herrsching in order to better cover this area. The volunteers of the Herrschinger BRK-standby have evaded until the rescue team has moved to the industrial area in the forum StaRK on the street Zum Landungssteg.

In the long term, at the request of the BRK management, a Red Cross center is to be built in the Herrsching industrial estate. District manager Lang had already revealed this in March before the vaccination branch was set up. He spoke of the fact that the water rescue service and, above all, the BRK readiness should get a roof over their heads at this point. Day care places could possibly also be accommodated. However, this requires long-term security through a heritable building lease.
