Donald Trump was born in New York City on June 14, 1946.

75 years later - and one term as US President - he published a declaration and handed it out against NATO and the G7 countries.

Trump wrote on Monday that in the past the USA had "given so much money" to the "club" - meaning the G7 format - and that NATO "gave it away".

The USA had been "economically exploited" for years by the countries concerned.

"It's not fair to America or the American taxpayer," Trump said.

But he changed that during his tenure.

Trump had repeatedly accused the NATO partners in the past of not spending enough on their defense and of allowing themselves to be put up with by the USA.

The ex-president's statement was published on the day of the NATO summit in Brussels, which his successor Joe Biden attended.

Biden had previously been a guest at the G7 summit in Great Britain.

On his 75th birthday, Trump also repeated his unsubstantiated allegations of massive election fraud in the November 3 presidential election, which he lost to Biden.

The Republican demanded a review of the votes cast in the state of Pennsylvania and attacked two party friends by name who had spoken out against it.

They are "stupid, corrupt or naive".

A highly controversial vote review commissioned by the Republicans is currently underway in the state of Arizona.

Critics accuse Trump and his party of wanting to fuel the conspiracy theory of alleged electoral fraud and to further undermine confidence in the electoral system.

Trump was defeated Biden in November in Arizona as well as in Pennsylvania, both states were part of the election.

The ex-president does not admit his defeat to this day.

The 75-year-old continues to set the tone with the Republicans, enjoys great popularity among the grassroots and has repeatedly flirted openly with a renewed presidential candidacy in 2024.

Trump now also used his birthday to collect donations.

Followers were called in e-mails and short messages to put themselves on a birthday card and donate money.
