INTERVIEW - Former PS deputy, the general delegate of Territories of Progress (TdP, member of the majority) defends the policy led by Emmanuel Macron and recalls all the social reforms applied under his five-year term.

LE FIGARO.

- Territories of Progress faces a ballot for the first time.

What do you expect from these regional elections?

Gilles SAVARY.

-

Today we are 1,800 members.

We have a hundred candidates for regional elections, including three heads of the list.

We have achieved a significant political breakthrough in a very short period of time.

We prepared this election with loyalty and in great confidence with Stanislas Guerini, Franck Riester and Marc Fesneau.

But we must admit that in the field, it was not always the case.

The Modem and Agir sometimes have one foot on the right and one foot in the majority.

And we have sometimes tried to play on our dual parliamentary membership to impose on us candidacies closer to LREM than to our movement.

The results will have to be evaluated in the light of the regional elections, but if we observe a return of political identities, the common house will have to be revisited and loyal with all its components.
