A fire that broke out today in the telephone center of the Abi Al-Fida suburb of Hama city, as a result of a short circuit, damaged and interrupted internet service equipment, and the technical workshops in Hama Telecom are working on repairing it and securing alternative equipment.
The Director of Hama Communications, Eng. Munib al-Asfar, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the internet service equipment and equipment in the Abu al-Fida suburb phone center were damaged as a result of a fire that broke out at dawn today, and it may have been caused by a short circuit, indicating that the technical teams immediately went to the site of the malfunction and started repair work and secured alternative equipment. The service shall be restored as soon as possible.
For his part, the head of the center, Engineer Ahmed Al-Nabhan, said in a similar statement that a fire broke out in one of the center’s departments at three o’clock, and the firefighting teams and the networks and operating departments of the Hama Communications Directorate were summoned. It is expected to be completed within the next few days, noting that investigations are still underway to determine the cause of the fire.
