The new youth club in Heilbrunn has been open for a few days.

A lot should happen here in the coming weeks and months.

Bad Heilbrunn -

There has been talk of a youth club in Bad Heilbrunn for a long time, now the project is being put into practice.

It is a collaboration with the Don Bosco Club in Benediktbeuern and functions under the umbrella of the sponsoring association for child and youth work in the Loisachtal.

The premises are in the parish hall.

A group of around 15 young people is currently ready to fill them with life, reports director Sabine Maier.

She was the head of the Don Bosco Club for the past few years and now takes care of the development of professional youth work in Bad Heilbrunn as a second pillar.

She thinks this task is “very, very nice,” says Maier with motivation.

The space available in the parish hall is very good: an entrance area with a corridor and toilet as well as a large room with a kitchen niche and a terrace are available.

"We recently sat outside and planned, so everything is corona-compliant," says Maier happily.

In addition, the parish may use another room, for example for one-on-one discussions.

"Our main office remains in the Don Bosco Club in Benediktbeuern."

The offer must be filled with life

Now it is important to fill the offer in Heilbrunn with life.

A flyer that is currently being advertised on social media or is on display in the village and school encourages young people from Heilbrunn to participate.

The room should be designed together and a name should be found, says Maier.

In addition, the offers will be discussed together: Should it be "only" an open meeting or are certain campaigns also desired, explains Maier.

The connection to the Don Bosco Club in Benediktbeuern would also create synergy effects, such as a joint football tournament or certain holiday activities.

"The young people all know each other from school."

It is currently open on Fridays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

That is also not yet set in stone, for example two hours on Thursdays and three hours on Fridays are also possible, explains the director.

"It won't be more than five hours."

All young people from Heilbrunn from the age of 12 can come

The offer is financed by the community and is aimed at all young people in Bad Heilbrunn from the age of twelve. "But interested people from the area can also come, nobody is excluded." She is full of praise for the cooperation with the community and youth officer Konrad Spindler. “He's very committed,” says Maier. The community is also open to suggestions. The fact that the people of Heilbrunn now have their own youth club in their community is very important for the young people. After all, it's also about home and identification. "And coming to the club in Benediktbeuern was always very difficult for Heilbrunners by public transport or no longer possible in the evening." Now they could ride their bikes. "Or for the parents from the different districts the way is not so far anymore,if they want to pick up the youngsters in the evening. "

The plan is now to draw up a plan by the summer holidays on how the youth club could be designed and what would be useful to have, such as games.

Then Maier will speak to Spindler or the local council.

"Of course Corona will be with us for a while, but the young people are so happy that they can meet again, and wearing a mask is no problem for them." Anyone who would like to get to know the new meeting and help, can come by at any time , she invites all young people from Heilbrunn.
