The Information Technology and Broadcasting Panel of the Legislative Council held a meeting today. The DAB Legislative Council Member Ge Peifan is concerned about how the electronic pin cards will be mutually authenticated during customs clearance between China and Hong Kong in the future.

Lin Weiqiao said that the current electronic pin card can be downloaded in the "Smart Convenience" program, but it can only be used locally. In the future, other mutual recognition procedures will be required for customs clearance with the Mainland or other regions.

There is no problem at the technical level, but there needs to be a consensus on the commercial level. As long as customs clearance arrangements are implemented in the future, I believe the platform Can cooperate.
