Alternative to the yellow vaccination certificate: pharmacies have been issuing the digital corona vaccination certificate since yesterday.

There was great interest in the QR code for smartphones in the district, and the servers regularly crashed due to the strong demand.

District

- 72 126 first vaccinations, 38 840 completely vaccinated: Around a quarter of the citizens in the district already have two Corona vaccination protection - stick stickers in the yellow vaccination pass. Pharmacies have been able to issue digital vaccination certificates since yesterday. This means that citizens no longer have to carry their paper ID with them all the time, but can conveniently show a QR code on their smartphone. The rush to the pharmacies was great, the computers were overloaded.

"A few customers were already in front of the door three quarters of an hour before opening with their vaccination certificate," says Iryna Goltseva, branch manager of the bee pharmacy in Gauting.

In the course of the morning alone, she issued a digital certificate to around 40 citizens.

The feedback was consistently positive.

“Many customers don't want to keep their vaccination records with them all the time.

Some passes look pretty tattered after 60 or 70 years, ”says Goltseva.

"The digital proof of vaccination is more convenient."

The branch manager needs between five and ten minutes to issue the digital passport.

Time is not just spent checking documents.

“The technology was on strike all morning,” says Iryna Goltseva.

“The program kept throwing me out.” Too many pharmacists wanted to edit or print out the digital vaccination certificate at the same time.

It is not necessary to register at the bee pharmacy in Gauting.

“Customers can simply come by with their vaccination certificate and ID card,” says Goltseva.

However, pre-registration via the website apo-minga.de is possible.

At home, the vaccinated person can enter all the important data and only collect the digital vaccination card at the pharmacy.

Online appointment for digital proof of vaccination - great demand

Since yesterday, customers at the Ammersee pharmacy in Inning have been able to reserve an online appointment for the digital vaccination certificate via the homepage. “It works just like booking a quick test,” says pharmacist Isabel Grötzbach. Telephone registration is also possible for citizens without internet access. Last week, Grötzbach informed customers about the digital vaccination certificate offer. “The demand was there. Many were pleased that we were able to offer this service, ”says Grötzbach.

After the pharmacist or doctor has entered and checked all the data, the vaccinated person receives an A4 printout with a QR code.

He can scan this code with his smartphone and open and manage it at any time with the CovPass app from the Robert Koch Institute or the Corona warning app.

“You always have your smartphone with you,” says Grötzbach.

“Instead of showing your vaccination card, you can simply open the QR code.” The new proof is valid nationwide and should be available for travel in the EU from July.

Pharmacies in the district

On the website www.mein-apothekenmanager.de all pharmacies are displayed that offer the digital proof of vaccination.

The pharmacies can be filtered by post code and place of residence.

The Olympia pharmacy on Maximilianstrasse in Starnberg is also one of around 30 pharmacies in the district that offer digital proof of vaccination.

By noon yesterday, pharmacist Edeltraud Priller had issued around twelve QR codes.

The inquiries in the St. Vitus pharmacy in Gilching were somewhat greater.

Pharmacist Dr.

Stefan Hartmann and his team exhibited yesterday.

"The demand was so great that it was difficult to keep operations going," says Hartmann.

"One employee was only busy with issuing the digital vaccination certificates." In the coming days, Hartmann plans to relocate the service to the test center on Römerstrasse.

“This way we can relieve the pharmacy,” he says.
