Ziona, 76, the father of what would be the largest family in the world, died in India, his personal physician reported Monday.
The patriarch had 38 wives and 89 children, according to the government of Mizoram, the state where the entire family lives under the same land.
Although it is not clear if he was legally married to all of them, it was learned that his first marriage was at 17 years old.
