A book of reading and analyzing the poetic text by Dr. Anas Badawi in the visions of critics and poets

The book “Reading and Analyzing the Poetic Text” by the poet and critic Dr. Anas Badawi is an analytical study that deals with a group of great Arab poets who wrote the traditional poem and others who wrote the modern poem.

The book issued by the Syrian General Book Organization, around which the Arab Cultural Center in Kafr Sousa held a critical symposium for a group of critics and poets, in which they talked about the applied book approach through its approach to poetic models in a manner based on clarity of expression and critical opinion, avoiding ambiguity and complexity, and approaching the ordinary recipient and specialists.

Dr. Ratib Sukkar explained that Bedoui’s book consists of several chapters, the first is “a study of a balance between modernity and antiquity” through two poems by Al-Jawahiri and another by Mahmoud Darwish, and the second is entitled “Social Memory” in Wajih Al-Baroudi’s poetry, which the author showed that he has a social vision, even his spinning is based on a renaissance project social.

The third chapter deals with the image of the West in the eyes of Nizar Qabbani, who differentiated between the colonial West and the civilized West. As for the fourth, it deals with a collection of poetry by Ratib Sukkar entitled Closer to Friends Far Than Adversaries, in which he revealed things that the author had not thought of, stopping at the cover painting of the group drawn by the artist Edward Shahda.

Dr. Jihad Bekfaloni pointed out that the author penetrates into the depths of the poetic text to analyze it in language, imagination and images and reminds us of the ancient methods of analyzing the text when he attributes the poetic image to a poet and then expresses his own opinion as he tries to find a language of his own and not be satisfied with his first vocabulary to reveal treasures that we may be unable to capture We did not use this book, which he described as an important book in criticism, which proves, according to Bakfaloni, that the author is well versed in poetry.

Poet and writer Ali Al-Aqbani pointed out that the book, in his criticism of Darwish's poem "Rita's Long Winter", deals with it analytically and penetrates to its depths. The texts of others and deduce from it the subtleties not visible on the surface

Plastic artist Wissam Qatarmeez spoke in his intervention about the cover painting of Bedoui's book, including pictures of writers and poets of their diversity, pointing to the added value of color and the relationship between the title and the content of the book.
