Dozens of Palestinians participated today in a solidarity stand in Tulkarm in the West Bank in support of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation detention.
According to Wafa Agency, the participants in the weekly vigil in front of the Red Cross office in Tulkarm affirmed their continued support and solidarity with the prisoners in the occupation prisons, especially the hunger strikers who are fighting an empty bowel battle in rejection of the brutal occupation practices against them.
The participants called on the Red Cross, the international community, and humanitarian and human rights institutions to take urgent action to save the lives of the prisoners and put pressure on the occupation authorities to release them.
About 5,300 Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails face harsh detention conditions, including about 550 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
