During its first appearance on the stage of the House of Culture in Homs, Bayat Musical Ensemble added its musical weight and special charm, as it presented a group of oriental and classical musical melodies.

The ceremony, which was organized by the Directorate of Culture of Homs and Al-Baath University, included compositions by authors such as Longa Seboukh, the Devil’s Dance by Amir al-Buzuk Muhammad Abdul Karim, and sketches of musical songs, in addition to special compositions presented by musician Ahmed Daoud, founder of the band (Olive, Nissan, and downloading the verses).

In a statement to SANA reporter, the founder of the band said that Bayat is composed of 15 musicians from the students of the Faculty of Music Education in Homs and the music teachers.

Daoud pointed out that Bayat is a Syrian Syriac shrine that represents the land and the homeland, and we hear it in many popular songs that attract us easily and quickly.

Hashem Mallouk, a player in the band, indicated that the band is working to provide distinctive and qualitative musical content through training at the hands of great professors and musicians.

It is noteworthy that the Bayat Troupe was founded in 2015 in the city of Salamiyah, but its participation was simple during the past years, to be its first appearance on the stage of the House of Culture in Homs.
