The popular hiking trail from the Hennerer Hof to the Gindlalmen has been closed since Tuesday (June 15) - specifically for cyclists and hikers.

Hausham

- As the responsible Bavarian State Forests announce, the blockage is expected to apply until around June 30th.

The reason is repair work.

The sometimes complex measures are also required at several demolition points.

Means: Due to the possible fall height at these points, there is a risk to life and limb, warns the Schliersee forestry company.

The damage was caused by extremely heavy rainfall over the course of last year.

In order to keep the effects of the closure for hikers, mountain bikers and for the alpine management as low as possible, the state forests, which are responsible for the forest in this area, consciously carry out the construction work in the time between the Whitsun and summer holidays, according to the Press release.

The date was agreed in advance with everyone involved and with the Schliersee community.

State forests recommend diversion routes with beautiful views

The work is carried out by experienced employees of the machine shop of the Bavarian State Forests, who are available to the forest companies for special tasks. Hikers are recommended to detour from Hennerer Hof via the Kreuzbergalmen to Gindlalmschneid. From here the hiking trail leads over alpine pastures with beautiful views of the Tegernsee and Schlierseer valleys to the Gindlalmen. The mostly narrow hiking trail is not suitable for cyclists. The mountain bike would have to be pushed or carried over several, sometimes even longer, routes, which is why cyclists should better use the tarred road from Hausham to the Gindlalmen. This street is closed to normal motor vehicle traffic, so that nothing stands in the way of a bike tour. For hikers, the route over the Almbad Huberspitz is another worthwhile option.
