The dances presented by the students of the Dance Department at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts consisted of elaborate movements in harmony with music, combining craftsmanship and creativity, showing high physical fitness and remarkable harmony among the dancers.
The show, titled “Lines”, was held on the stage of Saadallah Wannous Theater at the annual ceremony of the dance department at the institute. It included a number of dances that combined modernity and creativity, in addition to dances infused with the flavor of the West and the East, during which the students of the institute from the first year to the fourth
The main dance in the show was titled “Streets for the Third Year” and was a graduation project for this year’s students, in addition to “Salsa” dances performed by Hammoud Shabat, Sherine El-Shoufi, “One Day”, “Shawls”, “Esmeralda”, “My Girl” and “The Russian Dance”. "Samba", "Don Quixote", "Bia" and "La Peck", as well as a dance inspired by heritage, which are among the rare works presented by students of the dance department entitled "Lala".
Also participating in the show were dance professors, Imar Kharbutli, Maarouf Diwana and Samah Ghanem, and it was supervised by the artists Nawras Othman and Moataz Malatya Lee.
It is noteworthy that the Department of Dance was established at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1998, where it received graduates of the Ballet School, which was opened at the Institute in 1988.
