The Ministry of Interior announced that the Criminal Security Branch in Tartous was able to arrest the thieves of electrical wires from the public network in the Sheikh Badr area in the governorate countryside.
The ministry stated, in a statement that SANA received a copy of today, that while one of the criminal security patrols in Sheikh Badr carried out the tasks assigned to it at night in preserving private and public properties, it arrested three people who were trespassing and stealing electrical cables from the public network on Sheikh Badr Al-Wardia highway .
In its statement, the ministry indicated that by interrogating the arrested, they confessed to stealing cables from the public network in the area and selling the stolen electrical cables by two other people who were arrested in the Tel Kalakh area and the tools they had in their possession were confiscated.
In its statement, the ministry pointed out that investigations are still ongoing with the arrested persons, and they will be brought, along with the confiscations, to the competent judiciary.
