Fruit prices jumped by about 14%, a rise of about 5.6% in housing prices - according to a report by the Central Bureau of Statistics.
According to the report, the consumer price index rose by 0.4% in May 2021, slightly lower than analysts' expectations of 0.5%.
Since the beginning of the year, the consumer price index has risen by 1.5% - still slightly lower than the middle of the Bank of Israel's target range - 1% -3%.
Earlier today, the Bank of Israel published its mortgage data, according to which the volume of mortgages in May was NIS 9.5 billion - an all-time high.
This is a figure higher than 80% compared to the corresponding period last year, which was characterized by a stagnation in the real estate market immediately after the end of the first closure.
