Countdown ends in Peru: Castillo ahead 0:58
(CNN Spanish) -
After the National Office of Electoral Processes of Peru (ONPE) reported that it had finished counting the electoral records at 100%, Keiko Fujimori spoke and said "we are going to defend democracy."
The Fuerza Popular candidate added that she trusted "in the electoral bodies, but above all in the popular will."

In front of the people who gathered on Tuesday night in Lima to support her, Fujimori asked to continue with the demonstrations in a peaceful manner and pointed out that what is being sought is "to know the truth," referring to the vote on Sunday, June 6, where he faced to the candidate of Peru Libre, Pedro Castillo.
Popular Force has requested the cancellation of voting tables after it denounced a "fraud at the tables" by Castillo's party, on Monday 7.
"Are they going to surrender?" Fujimori asked the protesters in Lima and added: "It is about ensuring respect for the vote of each of the Peruvians without manipulation or trafficking."
Although the ONPE finished counting the electoral records at 100%, it is the National Elections Jury (JNE) who must proclaim the winner of the second round of the presidential elections, after resolving the nullities presented.
