Because of the corona pandemic, children and young people also had to forego cultural offers.
That will be made up for: Nuremberg starts the KinderKulturOffensive.
Nuremberg - The city of Nuremberg would like to bring color, music and movement into the often depressing everyday life of children and young people during the corona pandemic.
How?
With a large-scale children's culture offensive.
The city of Nuremberg announces that “digital cultural events” and open-air events are planned in schools, daycare centers, and children's and youth facilities.
This brings culture closer to the children and teenagers, while at the same time earning opportunities for professions at risk.
Interested institutions can apply for a free cultural visit or sports offer from June 16 to 23, 2021 at: www.nuernberg.de/internet/kuf_kultur/kinderkulturoffensive.html.
The three departments of Culture, School and Sport as well as Social Affairs of the City of Nuremberg * jointly initiate the KinderKulturOffensive 2021.
Nuremberg: More cultural activities for children and young people again
Closed sports or leisure facilities.
No cinema, no theater, no concert.
"Due to the pandemic, children and adolescents have been exposed to great stress in recent months and excluded from participating in important cultural education offers," says Prof. Dr.
Julia Lehner, second mayor of the city of Nuremberg.
That left traces.
The speakers for school and sport as well as for youth, family and social affairs also notice how the social upheavals are changing the world of children and teenagers and are causing the social gap to widen.
"After the long phase of distance and alternating lessons, the KinderKulturOffensive offers a good opportunity to rekindle the spirit of life in schools," says school and sports advisor Cornelia Trinkl.
Elisabeth Ries, advisor for youth, family and social affairs, explains: "This brings new momentum for the facilities as well as for the children and young people after the many months of almost complete standstill."
Nuremberg: Free "digital cultural snacks"
Nuremberg daycare centers, schools, children's and youth facilities can find ten free “digital cultural snacks” for children up to the age of 12 on the KS: NUE (Kultur.Service für Schule Kitas) website.
From theater scenes, music films and children's songs to storytelling games to join in: everything can be accessed online.
The bites are suitable for flexible use in distance and alternating lessons, in morning and afternoon care and as a supplement to leisure activities.
Nuremberg: "Culture offensive" and "Sport offensive"
From July 2021 the motto will be “culture offensive” and “sport offensive” in the schoolyard, in the after-school care center or on the youth center.
Theatrical fairy tales and hands-on concerts, art walks and stories of movement, gymnastics and dance workshops are planned.
The KinderKulturOffensive offers outdoor activities with a fixed group or class in compliance with the current Corona rules.
Interested institutions can choose their desired events from the program for all age groups during the registration days from June 16 to 23.
Once you've got a seat, arrange everything else directly with the freelance sports trainers, artists from all fields, for whom valuable, rewarded performance opportunities arise in this way.
The organizer of the KinderKulturOffensive is the coordination group for cultural education of the city of Nuremberg.
The city of Nuremberg bears the costs, among other things financed by funds from the Paula Maurer legacy, supported by the Nuremberg Rotary Clubs.
Participation in the KinderKulturOffensive should be free of charge for children and young people.
