The great parking reform in Paris is taking shape.
The deputy for the transformation of public space, transport and mobility David Belliard unveiled on Tuesday the details of the measures decided in the capital.
If they should disappoint owners of scooters and other motorcycles, since they will henceforth be deprived of free parking, they also concern motorists.
The municipal majority has in fact decided to increase the hourly parking rate for “visitor” motorists, ie non-residents.
In zone 1, corresponding to the center of Paris (the first 11 districts), the hourly price will drop from 4 to 6 euros.
Remember that it is forbidden to park there for more than six hours at a time.
In Zone 2, in the outlying districts, the price will double, from 2 to 4 euros.
The price of the charge for unpaid parking, known as the post-parking package, will also rise.
The fine will drop from 50 to 75 euros.
The fee may be reduced if it is paid within 9 days.
In this case, the package goes to 52.50 euros, against 35 euros previously.
