The Public Establishment for Drinking Water in Sweida has restarted the Tema 2 and Al Qasr 1 wells, after completing their maintenance and repair.
The Director of Maintenance and Investment in the Public Establishment for Drinking Water in As-Suwayda, Eng. Samih Nasr, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that Tema 2 well is gaining importance for feeding a number of villages surrounding Tema village in the northeastern countryside of the governorate, while Well Al Qasr 1 provides the needs of the people of the Badia and is also used to irrigate livestock.
Engineer Nasr pointed out that work is currently underway to restart the running well 3, stressing that the Corporation's workshops are in working order and follow-up to maintain and repair the wells that fail, according to the priorities set determined by the importance of the well and its location.
Over the past few days, the Public Establishment for Drinking Water in As-Suwayda has restarted 12 wells in various regions of the governorate.
