Tehran-Sana
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has called for documenting and widely disseminating the economic war crimes and those in charge of the comprehensive embargo against Iran.
The Iranian news agency “IRNA” quoted Rouhani as saying during today’s meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee that “the common practice is to inform the international public about the effects of massacres against humanity that occur during wars and military confrontations, and to focus on the results of the embargo and economic war as a silent crime against humanity and document it in order to know The world as a whole is the extent of these violations.”
Rouhani considered that the crimes committed by former US President Donald Trump obstructed the course of development and prosperity in Iran and caused economic, living and health damage to the Iranian people, stressing the need to strengthen steadfastness and efforts made to contain this war as well.
In May 2018, Trump announced his country's unilateral withdrawal from the nuclear agreement between Iran and the P5+1 group and the reinstatement of sanctions against Tehran in defiance of the will of the international community and a violation of international resolutions in this regard.
