Students of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad won two bronze medals and a certificate of appreciation in the 2021 Asian Mathematical Olympiad, which was organized by Indonesia “remotely” on the ninth of last March, and its results were announced today.
The Excellence and Creativity Commission indicated in a statement that SANA received a copy of it, that the two medals were won by the two students, Al-Hussein Khalil from Tartous and Ali Bakour from Aleppo, while the student Muhammad Fouad Al-Maeen from Aleppo received a certificate of appreciation.
And 28 male and female students from different governorates participated “from a distance” in the exams of this Olympiad, which lasted for four continuous hours at the same time in the participating countries and included high-level problems in algebra and geometry.
This is the eleventh participation of the students of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad in the Asian Math Olympiad, in which elite of the strongest countries compete.
