The consumer price index rose 0.3% year-on-year in April

According to the government’s release in the evening, according to the mechanism approved by the Finance Committee of the Legislative Council, the remuneration of the Chief Executive, politically appointed officials and non-official members of the Executive Council are automatically adjusted every year based on changes in the Consumer Price Index Category C in the past year. The annual salary adjustment cycle for appointed officials starts on July 1, and for non-official members of the Executive Council, starts on October 1.
