A small driving error at Eicherloh on Tuesday evening led to major environmental damage.
A young man's insurance will have to pay 120,000 euros.
Eicherloh - A Mercedes flew out of the curve on Tuesday evening around 5.30 p.m. on Großsenderstraße near Eicherloh. The driver, a 24-year-old from Anzing, suffered minor injuries. The limousine landed on the driver's side in the water-bearing ditch. Oil and coolant leaked from the engine. The fire brigades Eicherloh, Eichenried, Finsing and Altenerding were alerted. They erected oil barriers and dammed the stream to prevent it from overflowing into the Goldach. The hazardous substances were pumped out. The stream now has to be drained and dredged several hundred meters. The total damage amounts to around 120,000 euros. ham
