Serious collision this Wednesday afternoon, on the D 471, near Chevry-Cossigny, on the edge of Grisy-Suisnes.
Shortly before 3 p.m., the emergency services intervened on the departmental road where - according to the first findings - a pile-up involving four heavy goods vehicles - three semi-trailers and one 12 tonnes - and two cars took place.
One of the semi-trailers carries electronic waste, another carries flour, and the third carries waste.
The consequences are dramatic: the driver of a car, in his thirties, died on the spot.
While one of the truck drivers, imprisoned in his cabin, is seriously injured.
A Civil Security Dragon helicopter was mobilized to transport the victim, aged around 40, to the Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital (Val-de-Marne).
Three other people were more slightly injured and a fourth was unharmed.
An accident-prone road
Traffic on the D 471 was interrupted in both directions, in order to allow emergency services to intervene.
No less than thirty firefighters - from the barracks of Lognes, Brie-Comte-Robert, Tournan-en-Brie or even Guignes - are mobilized.
It would seem, according to the first elements of the investigation, that two trucks collided head-on, causing the pile-up.
The D 471 is an accident-prone road and not only on this section. On March 9, an accident already involving two trucks - in a face-to-face collision between Collegien and Pontcarré - resulted in the death of one of the truck drivers and seriously injured the other driver and his passenger.
