Mammendorf already has an e-car charging station at the community center, said Mayor Josef Heckl (BGM) in the local council.
However, the utilization was not particularly good because of the pandemic.
Heckl finds another station at a central point in the village useful.
Stadtwerke Fürstenfeldbruck would see that too.
The question arises for the committee as to whether one should opt for a fast charging station, a normal charging point or a combination of both.
Because the funding depends on it.
Since the costs are initially only a guideline value that would also be included in the funding application, environmental officer Thomas Holzmüller (FW) suggested the third variant with a fast charging point and the AC charging point.
"With that we would have kept all options open."
Funding application
Heckl followed this approach. In any case, you should apply for funding and continue working on the Car-Sharing project at the same time. Anton Fasching (BGM) wanted to know whether the costs that the community has to invest will be recovered. Heckl referred to the charging station at the community center, where the community received the subsidy for the infrastructure, but the municipal utilities as the operator collect the income.
There are different models, said Holzmüller.
“Either you buy the charging station and operate it completely, then you have the full yield.” But there is also a mixed calculation that the billing is done by the municipal utilities, the municipality receives a certain amount of money from the overall system.
Then you might have to pay for the operation and maintenance.
And with the third option, the municipality only provides the property.
In the end, the committee decided to pursue the combination variant.
The administration and the energy officer should obtain further information on the billing models and the various operators.
The results will then be presented to the Council.
