The first summit between Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin was a little shorter than expected and ended at 5:05 p.m. (3:05 p.m. GMT) in Geneva on Wednesday (June 16), the White House announced.

The two men shook hands briefly before starting their discussions shortly after 1:30 p.m. at Villa La Grange, on the shores of Lake Geneva.
They must each give a press conference separately before leaving for Moscow and Washington.
