The California Water Resources Control Board, the agency in charge of regulating this resource, asks farmers to stop using water from rivers and streams as the supply is jeopardized.
The entity alerted 4,300 users of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, among others, that if the drought continued, their supply would also be cut off.
