In Erding there will again be holiday care for primary school children this year.

Families can now register.

Erding - Six weeks of summer vacation after months of homeschooling - many parents don't have that much vacation (anymore) to be able to look after their primary school children from the end of July to mid-September.

The city is therefore again offering holiday care to families with working parents this year - at two of its six primary schools.

These are then open to all first to fourth graders in Erdingen.

In the elementary school on the Grüner Markt there is childcare between the 2nd and 6th, from 9th to 13th and from 16 to 20 August between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The Carl Orff Primary School in Altenerding is open from July 23rd to 27th, August 30th to September 3rd and September 6th to 10th, also from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The weekly cost including hot lunch is 90 euros.

According to a notification from the city, only full weeks and not individual days can be booked.

The corresponding forms are available on the Internet at www.schule-gm.de/Ferienbetreuung.

The original registration documents must be placed in the letterbox of the primary school on the Grüner Markt.

Registration closes on Friday, July 16.

An email address must be given to which the confirmations will be sent from July 20th.

The city points out that there is no legal entitlement to holiday care and that the number of places is limited.

Should the pandemic worsen again, only limited emergency care can be offered with a seven-day incidence of over 165.

In this case, proof of work must be presented.

In addition, only those who can present a current negative Covid-19 test result or who carry out a self-rapid test on site can take part in holiday care.

The staff is trained accordingly.

If the incidence is up to 100, the test is performed on Mondays and Thursdays, and if the incidence is over 100, it is tested on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

In addition, the city of Erding draws attention to the general requirement to wear a mask on the school premises.

During the summer holidays, in addition to the mask breaks, the mouth and nose protection may also be removed in the multi-purpose room and on the playground, provided the minimum distance is maintained.

Delivery time is between 7 and 9 a.m., pick-up time between 3 and 5 p.m.

Bring a snack, water bottle, slippers, gym shoes, a change of clothes, a sun hat and a rain jacket.

Toys and books are allowed, but electronic media are not, according to the holiday care team.
