Yesterday, the obligation to wear a mask in closed spaces was removed, about a month and a half after the obligation to wear the masks in open areas was removed.

director general of the Ministry of Health, Prof. Hezi Levy, signed an amendment to the Public Health Order, which officially abolished the obligation to wear masks as of yesterday.
However, the Ministry of Health has sought to abolish the restriction gradually, so a number of sensitive places will remain where guests and workers are not vaccinated or recovering and will continue to wear masks: welfare institutions, long-term health care institutions, geriatric institutions, sheltered housing, nursing homes, aircraft and hospital wards. There are sensitive populations including geriatric wards.
