A little later, the forces of the Moosburg water rescue service, in cooperation with the volunteer fire brigades from Anglberg and Haag, rescued the person from the water using a grinding basket stretcher.

The 58-year-old was not reported missing

As a spokesman for the Upper Bavaria North Police Headquarters announced, the dead man, who had apparently been lying in the water for several days, was a 58-year-old man from the Dresden area who worked in the region but was not reported missing.

The cause of death is so far unclear, the criminal investigation has taken over the investigation.

The water patrols from Freising, Eching and Kranzberg were also on their way, a rescue helicopter and a police helicopter were also on their way to the scene.

After the person could be located relatively quickly, these emergency services were canceled, reports Stefan Aigner, head of water rescue at Moosburg water rescue service.
