The Lattakia boxing team won the second place in the general ranking of the teams that participated in the Republic Cup championship in the men's category, which took place in Damascus recently.
The team won four silver medals, won by Hatem Hatem with a weight of 64 kg, Bashar Issa with a weight of 75 kg, Nizam Ahmed with a weight of 81 kg and Wissam Hassan, with a weight of over 91 kg, while Saif Sheikh Musa won bronze with a weight of 56 kg and Jaafar Iskandar with a weight of 91 kg.
Coach Muhammad Qazak explained to SANA reporter that the results achieved by the team are distinguished because six players were crowned with brilliant medals out of the seven who participated in the tournament, and this is a positive indication that there is work and excellence for the coaches and the training process is moving in the right direction, and the game is expanding its base and constantly developing thanks to the follow-up from the cadres of the game.
