During the first five months of this year, Hama Oil Company recorded an increase in sales by more than 982 million pounds compared to the same period last year.
And the company’s general manager, Eng. Abdul Majeed Kelfa, indicated to SANA Economic Bulletin that the company’s sales from the beginning of the year until last May exceeded one billion and 974 million pounds of cotton seed oil, cake and soap, while it did not exceed 992 million pounds in the same period of the past year, pointing out that the company’s production since the beginning of the year. The year until the end of last May, it amounted to 150 tons of cottonseed oil, in addition to the production of 1616 tons of cake, 62 tons of lint and 8 tons of soap.
Kelfa explained that the company worked to increase production capacity by placing a new line of cotton seed shavings in the service, noting that the new line of shavings includes 6 shavings, 2 of which are first and 4 second shavings. The technical and engineering teams in the company made around the clock to repair and replace most of the parts that were subjected to extensive sabotage by terrorist gangs.
He added: There are two shaving lines, the first is old since 1960 and suffers from old and worn out machines and needs periodic and permanent maintenance work and spare parts are not available, in addition to the need for a large labor cadre and the high consumption of electricity and its energy is 70 tons of cotton seeds per day. It was replaced by the installation of the new line, which contributed to Achieving savings in the consumption of electrical energy and labor, as well as increasing the production capacity of the line, which amounts to 100 tons of cotton seeds per day, in addition to the second line, with a production capacity of 30 tons per day of cotton seeds.
